New South Wales state budget 2022-23: Energy Bill Buster Program
New South Wales state budget 2022-23 allocates the following measures to contain rising costs of energy to consumers:
- The Low Income Household Rebate (LIHR) helps low income NSW households cover the costs of their energy bills. Households receive the rebate as a credit on each quarterly energy bill, up to a total of $285 per year.
- Energy Bill Buster Program to help eligible households reduce their gas and electricity bills by providing technological solutions such as swapping rebates for solar panels or more efficient appliances.
