Subsidies for electricity and gas costs

The Slovak Ministry of Economy provides subsidies to private businesses and public entities for up to 80% of eligible electricity and natural gas costs exceeding commodity price caps (i.e. EUR 199/MWh for electricity, and EUR 99/MWh for gas) and in the maximum amount of EUR 200,000 per month and per beneficiary. The current subsidy scheme covers increased electricity and gas costs incurred between January to March 2023 and is an extension of a previous scheme from December 2022. The scheme does not concern small off-takers that have capped prices.
