EUR 80 million for apartment buildings retrofits

The Estonian Ministry of Economy launched a new round of energy efficiency subsidies for apartment buildings retrofits with EUR 80 million budget. Depending on the building size and location, the subsidies can cover 30% to 50% of costs of complete retrofits of apartment buildings with energy efficiency class C or lower, or to cover the replacement of furnaces, gas or electrical heating by renewable energy heating systems or district heating. Additionally, other energy saving and renewable energy building technologies will be eligible for funding, such as solar panels or electric vehicle charging infrastructure. Apartment associations with at least 80% of the building owned by individuals can apply for the support.
