Estonia 2023
The International Energy Agency (IEA) and the Estonian Ministry of Climate will jointly host the launch of the IEA Energy Policy Review Estonia 2023 report on Monday 20 November at 10:00 CET. The main objective of the event is to present the key findings of the report, and to discuss energy policy recommendations that will support Estonia’s transition to a secure, sustainable and efficient energy system.
This Energy Policy Review was prepared in partnership between the Government of Estonia and the IEA. It draws on the IEA's extensive knowledge to assess the challenges facing Estonia’s energy sector with recommendations based on international best practice. The report also highlights areas where Estonia’s leadership can serve as an example in promoting secure and clean energy transitions. Alongside this, it aims to promote the exchange of best practices among countries to foster knowledge sharing, capacity building and policy ambition to deliver a sustainable and affordable clean energy future.
The event will take place at an in-person conference in Tallinn. The opening session of the event with the Minister of Climate of Estonia Kristen Michal and the IEA’s Deputy Executive Director Mary Burce Warlick and an expert panel discussion will be available to watch via livestream.
